God wants to be 'Your Rock',

so what does that have to do with 'Salvation?'

'Salvation' is to save, rescue or preserve one who is in danger of destruction.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. Then God made man and woman. Together, in the garden, they had an on going relationship: God, man and woman. God loved man (and woman) and wanted their love, not as a programed response, but as a reasoned act. Adam and Eve had 'free will' and were decieved by the deciever and chose to rebel and disobey God's one warning.

This rebellion is called sin. All sin comes under the banner of rebellion against God and his will. As a result of that rebellion in 'the garden', man was estranged from God. God as a righteous judge cannot look upon sin. Because of his very nature, and the warning he gave to Adam. God was forced to judge Adam and Eve: for the wages of sin is death. Adam and Eve fell from their perfect relationships with God to become mortal beings with the sentence of death, and so was all of creation equally sentenced. This sentence is scientically known as entropy. Entropy (also known as the Second Law of Thermodynamics) describes a situation of universally deteriorating order, is a scientifically proven fact.

To recap: God created the world and everything in it; as it was perfect. God made man and woman, and they were perfect, and they were all in relationship in a perfect world. Then rebellion (aka sin) was introduced and not only did mankind fall from relationship with God, but the whole world, has since suffered death and decay; the scientific proof of which is entropy.

Adam and Eve were fruitful and multiplied, but their offspring strayed further from God, and the world grew more corrupt. Until God decided to wash the world and start over with the one righteous man he could find. After the flood, God did start over again with Noah and his sons and they were fruitful, multiplied and filled the earth. But God was still looking for relationship with man & woman, and men and women continued to rebel.

For man to purge the sin, God gave laws for the man to follow. These laws clearly told man what not to do, and how to cleanse himself of sin when he broke the laws. But man continued to rebel. Then God sent prophets to instruct man about God, instruct man about what man was doing that kept him from God, and instruct man in how to realign himself with God. Then God sent his own son: God incarnate - Jesus. In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son. Jesus became the fulfilment of the law. And an end of the law for those who believe. To believe is the first step, and opens the door to restored relationship with God and everlasting life, but to pursue and grow in relationship with God, we must repent.

Repentance is 3 parts in sequence; an acknowledgement, followed by a decision based on the acknowledgement, followed by an action based on that decision. If you ackowledge that you are a sinner and in need of salvation. Then pray the following prayer: "Dear Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and do believe that you died for me that my sins would be forgiven if I believe on you. Here and now, I trust you as my savior. From this moment on, I am fully depending on you for my salvation. Now that you have prayed this prayer, your follow-up is to sin no more. This may sound impossible, but Jesus gave us a helper: His Holy Spirit. Pray to Jesus that His Holy Spirit will reveal to you your sins, that you may ask forgivness for them and walk in repentance. If you believe him and put your trust in him, you will have eternal life. Jesus said "He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life." Btw, it is impossible for God to lie. Walk in repentance and you will build a relationship with God. As you clean out the bad stuff (sin), God will fill you with good stuff, and you will see the best days of your life, and know you will have a better life after this one.

If you sincerely prayed the prayer above, take this webpage to a church, and talk to the minister. Ask if the minister and the church believe that the bible is God's Word, then ask if the minister agrees with what is written on this page. If the answer is yes, then you may have found 'other believers'. If the minister disagrees, then you have not. Simply move on and pray to God, that His Holy Spirit guides you to a church that believes the complete gospel and that the bible is the God's word to us.
